For anyone who loves beer, the opportunity to sample hundreds of different brews all in one place is a dream come true. Typically attended by over 25,000 beer lovers, NOLA on Tap serves as a kick off to New Orleans Oktoberfest.  On September 22 the New Orleans City Park Festival Grounds will play host to NOLA on Tap. This one day only festival is presented by the Louisiana SPCA and is their largest fundraiser of the year.

The event, which runs from 12 pm to 7 pm will have more than 400 different brews available for attendees to try. There will be a wide mix of homebrewed, local and national beers for attendees to choose from. Sample sizes and full glasses will be available. Wine and soft drinks will be on hand too. Of course, what’s beer without some tasty snacks? Several local food vendors will also be one hand to serve up some delicious treats to go with the frosty beverages.

As with any celebration, music will be part of the festivities too. Several live music performances will take place at NOLA on Tap. Performers include Cha Wa from 1 pm to 2:30 pm, Sexual Thunder from 3 pm to 4:30 pm, and the GIVERS from 5:30 pm to 7 pm.

A VIP pass for the event is $25 in pre-sale and $30 at the festival (drink tickets not included). The Sample pass is only available in pre-sale and is $30 (35 drink tickets, but admission not included), and the Brewmaster pass is $45 in pre-sale and $50 on the day of (40 drink tickets and a NOLA on Tap t-shirt, admission not included). The general admission price is $5 and kids 12 and under are free. Individual drink tickets are $1.
