Who doesn’t love brunch? It’s not just going out and grabbing a quick breakfast sandwich as you rush off here and there. Going out for brunch is an event. It’s a way to reconnect with friends and an opportunity to kick back and recharge your batteries. Even better, if you pick the right spot, you also get the chance to sample some delectable cuisine and soak up some amazing ambiance.

Jazz Brunch Saturdays are just such an opportunity. Happening at Pythian Market at 234 Loyola Rd. every Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm, Jazz Brunch Saturdays are a lively way to ring in the weekend.

Brunch-goers have the opportunity to order up imaginative brunch offerings from 13 different vendors. Even better, at each event from 11 am to 2 pm attendees are entertained by a local live jazz band. The band is led by accomplished New Orleans-based pianist and composer, Will Feinberg.

During each event Bar, 1908 is serving up mimosas for $6 and bloody marys for $7. Of course, we can’t forget about the food. As you might expect, Jazz Brunch Saturdays don’t just offer up your average fare. Some of the selections include: Shakshuka served with sous-vide eggs from Little Fig, Cochon de Lait Benedict from Fete Au Fete, “Kais Brunch bowl” (rice, smoked salmon, poached egg, green onions, crispy onions, nori and wasabi aioli) from Kais, and jalapeño bacon cheddar waffle, dirty breakfast fries (hand cut fries, pulled pork, provolone and a fried egg) and breakfast po-boy (hot sausage, fried egg, charred chives aioli and crispy chips) from Frencheeze Food Truck... to name a few.

Having somewhere comfortable to stay ahead of that spectacular brunch is important too. So, if you’re looking for accommodation in the New Orleans area be sure to check out the Best Western Plus Westbank. We are just a quick 15-minute drive from downtown New Orleans and offer affordable rates, convenient amenities, and a charming setting.
