Frosty Christmas fun is not something typically experienced in New Orleans, but at NOLA Christmasfest you can get in on those rosy-cheeked good times. Starting on December 20 and running until December 31, Christmasfest is the city’s signature holiday bash.

All of the action takes place indoors at New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center and features the only ice rink in New Orleans. There will also be plenty of non-ice activities too. Attendees can expect to find inflatables, the Kringle Carousel, carnival rides, Santa, holiday characters, kids crafts, festive trees and lights, and much more. Have the kids bring a notepad to get some autographs from their favorite holiday characters.

If you’re pumped for the skating portion of the event, you’re not going to be disappointed. The rink is a whopping 52 feet by 140 feet. Those who have their own skates are encouraged to bring them, but if you don’t have any, not to worry. There will be a range of sizes on hand to borrow.

As you might expect, this event is open to all ages. Two miles of lights will decorate the interior and exterior of the venue. If you’re worried about missing that look of awe on your littles’ faces when they first spot Santa and his friends, don’t despair. There will be professional photographers on-site to take those precious pictures for you. 

Tickets for Christmasfest are now available online and at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center Ticketmaster Box. Tickets to visit during weekdays are $20 and weekend tickets are $25.
