Starting on Thanksgiving weekend and carrying through until New Years Day, Celebration in the Oaks is an annual celebration of the holiday season. Happening every night (except for December 24 and 31) for the duration of the event, Celebration in the Oaks is one of the most awe-inspiring holiday light shows in the country.

Everywhere you look, there are lights. Lights are strung through the park, the Botanical Garden, Storyland and Carousel Gardens Amusement Park. Over a million lights are used to create the colorful, twinkling effects. Celebration in the Oaks is the perfect event to attend with the whole family. 

Hours for the light show are Fridays and Saturdays from 5 pm to 11 pm and Sundays to Thursdays from 6 pm to 10 pm. General admission to attend just the light displays is $10 per person. Passes to see the light displays and go on unlimited rides in the amusement park can be purchased for $28 per person. Park rides can also be paid individually at $4 to $5 per ride.

The train will also be running - a two-mile ride around City Park. To avoid disappointment, guests can reserve a spot ahead of the event. For an upgrade fee you can skip the line for the train - just come back at the specified time and hop aboard.
