Head Out For Some Creepy Crawly Fun At Crawloween

Fall can be a spooky time, with all the talk of ghosts and goblins milling about. That said, some of us find creepy crawlies far more spine-tingling. If that’s the case for you or your kids and you’re interested in a scary outing to celebrate the season, then head over to the Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium on October 26 or 27 for Crawloween.
In addition to its regular attractions, during Crawloween the Butterfly Garden and Insectarium will feature maggots, spiders, roaches, and the much dreaded… scorpions. Plus, once you’ve had the pants scared off you by these creepy creatures, you’ll find lots more to do.
Bug themed treats will be available for those who want to take part in a little trick or treating. There will also be plenty of Halloween games to take part in. If you have children who are somewhat squeamish around insects, this event is a wonderful way to help bust that fear and have a lot of fun while you’re at it. It’s a great opportunity to gain some insect knowledge too.
There is no additional fee to attend Crawloween. The price of admission to the Butterfly Garden and Insectarium covers the cost of entry to the extra displays and activities. In fact, if you come dressed in costume, you’ll get a discount too ($3 off for adults and $2 off for children).
If you’re heading to the city for any of the fun fall events you’ll need a place to stay. One of the best places to stay in the New Orleans area is the Best Western Plus Westbank. Just a short drive from the heart of the city, it’s the perfect way to escape the hustle and bustle for a bit. We offer comfortable rooms, affordable rates, a wide range of amenities and plenty of New Orleans style. You may not want to leave.
